FAYETTE, Iowa (April 24, 2019) – Upper Iowa University has been ranked among the top schools in the nation for online master’s degree in security programming. UIU is ranked 19th by Online Masters for its Master of Public Administration Emergency Management emphasis program. The rankings were based on academic quality, student success and affordability.

Online Masters selected the University’s program for its coverage of counter-terrorism to comparative strategies of national security. Online Masters noted that upon graduation, UIU students have the necessary knowledge and skills to provide strategic leadership in a variety of federal and corporate agencies.

The UIU Emergency Management and Homeland Security emphasis area is designed to prepare students for leadership positions in agencies and organizations that exist to protect life, liberty, and property. Upon successful completion of this emphasis, students possess the knowledge needed to provide strategic leadership using an all hazards/whole community approach to emergency events.

Upper Iowa is a nationally recognized leader in distance education offering undergraduate and graduate degrees. UIU’s online program offers five 8-week sessions and an accelerated, 6-week summer session each year.
