FAYETTE, Iowa (March 4, 2020) – With students representing over 20 countries, Upper Iowa University’s (UIU) Center for International Education and International Student Association will host a “Colors of the World” International Culture Night celebration Saturday, March 28, at Fayette Campus. The festivities begin with an International Market at 3 p.m., followed by a dinner show at 6 p.m.

New to UIU’s annual International Culture Night celebration, the International Market provides a platform for student entrepreneurs and local business owners to gain a wider demographic of prospective customers. Located on the first floor of the UIU Student Center, the market will remain open until 6 p.m.

Doors open to the International Culture Night Dinner at 5:30 p.m. in the Student Center ballrooms. In addition to the family-style international cuisine, guests will witness firsthand a small part of UIU’s uniquely diverse campus. Scheduled activities include a fashion show, a Japanese-inspired game show, music and dancing.

General admission to the dinner is $10, and $5 for UIU students and children ages 12 and under. UIU students may RSVP, with a meal swipe prior to March 28. In addition to helping cover event expenses, proceeds benefit philanthropic support for UNICEF and UIU.

“Colors of the World” International Culture Night is sponsored by UIU’s International Student Association and Japanese and Korean Club. For additional information, including vendor registration, email [email protected] or visit uiu-isa.wixsite.com/icn2k20.
