The Upper Iowa University Alumni Speaker Series resumes Wednesday, May 25, with “Rise to the Journey” presented by Jessica Goltz ‘21. The program begins at 6 p.m. CST.

A graduate of UIU’s psychology self-paced program, Goltz will share her unique journey in earning a degree at UIU as a nontraditional student, explain how adversity helps people grow, and while some journeys take people down unknown paths – both personally and professionally – those paths still help individuals rise to the occasion.

As the owner and founder of Seva Health: Center for Wellbeing, Jessica is all too familiar with the struggles of mental health and its effect on oneself and their family. Knowing that the resources in northeast Iowa are limited, she set out to make a difference by starting her own nonprofit with a mission to do more than only talk about mental health.
